SERIES + DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

The arrival of Jesus was one of the greatest prophetic fulfillments in all biblical history. We invite you to not only join us for this series, but to engage with the Gospel at home during this season. Below, you will see two devotions per week that go along with the message theme with material for both adults and kids. For devotion two, you will notice an option specific to families with younger kids. We pray your devotion times will help you discover the beauty of Christ in this season.

We thank YouVersion, the bible project and lifeway Christian publishing resources for the development of this sharable content.

WEEK 1

It's the first week of Advent and our Arrival series. Prepare your heart to engage in worship and a wonderful word on the Hope of this season.

WEEK 2

Make sure to bring your favorite hot beverage mug! If you don’t have one, we got you! Be prepared to enjoy a delicious hot cocoa bar, wonderful worship, and message on Peace.

WEEK 3

Adults, come decked out in your favorite ugly sweater, and the kiddos can come in their coziest pajamas. We will also be having pictures with Santa as well as a Candy Bar after service.

WEEK 4

Join us for a Candlelight service. Our kids will be featured in our service this week, and it's a great opportunity to invite friends and family to experience the message of Jesus. After service, we'll have an apple cider bar and some snowball fun!

Prayer

Every word in Scripture points to the gift of HOPE we have because of Your Son, Jesus. We know the Christmas story wasn’t the beginning of the HOPE message because the Old Testament is full of glimpses of Your plan to redeem Your people and restore them into relationship with You. Still, we can truly begin to see and understand just how extraordinary Your love for us is when we read the story of Jesus’ birth in Scripture. — Amen

Prayer

Father, You’ve promised PEACE for the anxious and acceptance for the broken hearted—not just at Advent, but every day of every year. Your Name is still called “Wonderful Counselor,” “The Mighty God,” “The Everlasting Father,” and “The Prince of Peace.” We know that PEACE on earth can only come when hearts find PEACE with You. You are no longer a baby in the manger. You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And we still celebrate You as Lord—this Christmas and always. — Amen
